Harvard University Law School’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society has announced its fellows for 2011-12, including CMS professor Beth Coleman.
Coleman organized two-day “cross-university” tutorials on Machinima tools and relative merits of two different 3-D engines.
CMS Professor Beth Coleman will be participating in an upcoming ARTspace panel entitled “Can We Fall In Love With A Machine?”, as part of the larger College Art Association Conference.
Led by Comparative Media Studies professor Beth Coleman, a dozen MIT freshman were introduced to the CMS program by way of an alternate reality game.
Panelists: Beth Coleman, Philip Tan, Ivan Askwith, Clara Fernandez-Vara
Featured speakers included Lauren Cornell, director of Rhizome.org; Jon Ippolito, media artist, curator, author; and our own Beth Coleman, Assistant Professor of Comparative Media Studies and of Writing and Humanistic Studies, co-founder of the SoundLab Cultural Alchemy project.
