Students in the Comparative Media Studies program at MIT not only enjoy classes with academic, creative and professional luminaries from all over the world, we also enjoy one of the greatest student lounges ever. Redesigned in 2005/2006 under the careful, ever-watchful, all-seeing eye of graduate student Ivan Askwith SM'07, our new student lounge is located in Building 14, in room 217. Hence the name of our little virtual studio space here on the CMS site: 217.
